My Temptation for Magazines…!!

You know that thing, when you see something you LOVE and You kindda know u Have to Have it , No MATTER WHAT…! J Well, that's what it's like when I see a magazine…!!

Reading is one of my Hobby and a Great way to pass my time too…! Oh.! But I don’t read any novels.. I have this thing just for the magazines…! J

Whenever I pass by a shop or a road side book stall, I can’t stop myself from looking I get soOoo energized and full of joy…! Literally, this is what my crazy heart feels..! And when your fingers grasp those shiny, new COVER …. Oh, yes! Oh, yes! It feels soOo good, I always always always end up taking one…

And I probably have books I bought 3-4 years ago still in my shelves . And some are still unread.. I want to get rid of my backlog before I add more to it, but books and magazines, are sooooo tempting! A few months back I no longer had room for any new books or magazines, so had to call a halt to new purchases...! And In order to help clear my already overflowing bookshelves, I donated some books to my library …

My Friends and my cousins keep wondering as to why do I spend so much money just for the magazines, but i cant help it.….! A couple of months back I was reading one and I saw a subscription form n thought of subscribing one instead of getting it from the stores..! J So I get FEMINA every two weeks now…! J Whenever this book arrives at my doorstep I just have to rip up the cover and get on it instantly and the feeling u get is sooOOoo awesome..! u must be thinking am just crazy but I jus LOVE it…!

But so far this year I have bought only one magazine which I've only half read… and now I think, 'I've got so many at home still to read' and pass them by. This has been a major change for me…. But still Guys if u see me around a book store just drag me away from it… I don’t trust myself near the magazines.. J Its hard, seeing other people buying books by the bagsful J

Manage to wake-up.

My day started off pretty well. It was kindda fun, kindda boring, kindda scary too… ! I had my breakfast, Lunch and watched some tv…! And I was dyeing out of Boredom.... Since a few months back i started to have this craving for junk food at night.. i just donno why, but i have to have junk food at night all the time.... So decided to go out and buy some stuff… Got some money from Dad n took my little cousin with me coz she was feeling very lonely that day coz she had no school and also thought of going on a Bike RiDe with her…

When we reached the store, turns out it was closed. I Was just about to turn back and go to another super market but my cousin stopped me at the Library..! She wanted to get some comic books to kill her free time, but then when the librarian asked her membership number she said she had forgotten… Then again, I had forgotten my number tooOoo… ( Oh..! Poor my little cousin..) It took us a very long time to convince her that we were old customers of her n finally she let us take books with one of my other cousin’s membership ..! (luckily she knew her)

So we headed again to the store and on my way, I barely made it out of an accident... Not that I was driving fast, but a bike just tried to overtake me and was so close to hit me ( Alhamdulilla, nothing happened.....) When we reached the store, it probably took us just 15mins to take everything we needed but it really took us a long time on the counter to pay our bills..! L I got a big bill, which was pretty much more than I expected.. I guess I went a little overboard n ended up taking stuff which I never really needed…By the time we returned home , it was pretty late…!

In the evening i watched some more tv. I Was feeling really bored to have my usual thing for dinner so I made some sandwiches for myself and ate..! At night after the prayer, I read my fav magazine , browsed some beauty websites and Watched some old movies repeatedly… J That was my long day, even though it doesn’t sound like one..! J

Hey there..! Salaam..

So Here's what happened next...

After that the very next day, I was on college campus with one of my friendz and suddenly a girl comes to me and asks my name… And when I told her She said “They have a function for all the MUSLIMS of 1^st semester.. And it was a FRESHERS PARTY “ ( Since i was the only Muslim in class, they invited only me... )

She said "there will be LUNCH, We'll get to play lot of games and we’ll have FUN … And everyone has to come , it’s a compulsory “ ….. I dint know what to say , so I accepted the invitation…! Then I asked her if she’ll be there in the Party too… and she was like “ Girl…! What kindda question is this, I invited u , Why woun’t I be there…” ( It was actually really silly of me to ask her that…) I tell u, that girl was showing so much attitude...!!

Then what I saw next was that, the guy who talked to me the other day standing right behind that girl ( Well I dint see that one coming…. ) and he goes…

Guy: So ur coming to the Party …?

Me: hmmm.. I Guess I am…

Guy: Why did u react at me like that… U were SoOo Rude…(he was really pissed at me…)

Me: I was like .. Excuse Me.. What did I do.…?..?

Guy: U were very impolite and dint talk to me…. (All I said was “I am not interested”…! ) He was soOo bummed at me.. I donno Y….!

Whatever yaar…! I dint say anything much and came back….

Even though the Party was in a “5 Star HOTEL“ I dint go coz my friends said they'll be a lot of Ragging and all.... And i knew those people would not leave me without Ragging..! :-)

College Days...!

Salaam everyone...!

When u enter a new institution, you have a very different feeling.... Everything is soO new and different with the new environment , u have this JOY,the THRILL,the HIGH and RUSH of making new friends and all… … U feel excited , u feel scared , u go through every possible feelings…. And when something terrifying happens to you, then everythings just falls apart…

How would you feel if a bunch of guys shows up to ur class and asks for u, during the 1^st week of ur college, where u donno anyone..….??? The same thing happened to me…..

Yeah! Right… This exact thing happened with me..

When I was in my 1^st week of college (Engineering), I had finished my first hour classes and had gone out to have my breakfast… And when I returned to my classes, my friends said that some guys had come asking for me… I was really shocked to hear that … I said “ NO , absolutely not.! That cant happen, coz I donno anyone here “ and I told them they were kidding….! But they swear that it happened... ! And i was really embarrassed and had No IDEA why they came asking for me...

And just after that, the same guys came to my class again…! I dint know that guys....! They were all tall and came in a group.. ( i kept saying myself " WHATS HAPPENING"..) For a second I thought they were coming to RAG me or something… ( though ragging was not allowed in our college)

Then some guy asks my name, I asked him why …? They did know me… Then the guy said “ We have a invitation for you and you have to come “ … I dint know what was he talking about and why an invitation just for me…. So I said “ I am not INTERESTED “ ( I dint know what to say at that time , I was really shocked , usually am not so spontaneous also... ) Then those guys dint say anything n went back OR it so happened that i dint give a chance to talk n ran inside my class..…

Hey..! this is not the ending, Theres gotto be more to it na ..! There’s other side of the story…! I’ll be posting that in my next POST..!

In the meantime can u people GUESS what happened next….??? Waiting for your Comments guys… !

HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone..! It’s 2010 and here’s just a short post to wish everyone a great year ahead..!!

I hope 2009 was a great year for all of you. And if it wasn't, may the coming year be full of wonderful surprises and blessings and all of that good stuff… Wishing u more Happiness than all my words can tell…
