Its all about your HAIR….

Yup!! Today was all about HAIR for me..

Today I had been to the salon to get a hair cut. Coz u know u gotta have a cut in every 3-4month… but I am not so regular.. I only do once in 6-7month or if I think I need it.

When the beautician was starting out on the hair, she was also teaching her assistant/student how to do it the right way. And I though she’s gonna ask one of them to do it and I was like “A trainee cutting my HAIR…. Nooo… that sounds like a leap..!! “ But then I thought “These trainee at some point have to do it and that s how they become beauticians/hairdressers n if they have to learn on someone , might as well be me..“

But thankfully she dint ask them, and she did it herself. Then we got to talking and she was asking me about my HAIR - that I have a lotta split end and do I oil my HAIR or not….

Apparently we do have to OIL it regularly and we do have to condition it…

and wen I said I do a lot of blow-drying and straightening, she was like really alarmed and asked me not to do it….

… .and if u are doing it on a regular basis u have to go for DEEP HAIR CONDITIONING to balance it out…..

GOD! So much for good hair..!!

It was not just the hair cut, I returned back home to apply Henna on my HAIR (which is very good conditioner). And the result of which is GREAT.

my HAIR queries…

Growing up with wavy/curly hair at times used to: wish my hair was straight, curse the relentless frizz.

I always always DREAMT of having awesome HAIR.... THAT AWESOME Super SILKY HAIR…!! J And to liberate my CURLS and to keep it straight I always like to blow dry it!

Lately I've been having fun leaving my hair in its natural state, (curls) and a few questions/comments on my curls prompted me to ask myself : “ Why don’t I like my HAIR after all ..??..?..? Why do people like them n why not me…???” Lol..!! J

Now, of course, I like (not LOVE) my curls, but it took some experimenting for me to get here! Haha…

At the end of it all:

On TOP of my list-Permanent HAIR Straightening (plz understand how much I love straight locks) Soon am gonna be doing it and that day am sure as hell will go CRAZY and wont stop talking about it.. And will be like the happiest person… and yes! certainly I’ll do a POST on it too…!! Hehe… J

Join in all the fun at The little things we do

1. My most prized possession is my laptop. GOD! Knows how much I love it.. And the second one will be my HAIR DRYER and HAIR Straightener… sounds a lil Odd I know.. But I love it so much n I cant go anywhere with out them.. Haha…!! J

2. If I could be one age for the rest of my life, I would want to be in my 20’s probably… cause I loved the age.. I was pretty dam cool about everything.. no much thinking... no pressure .. and just so much FUN wit friends!! .

3. The best way to spend a weekend is Going out.. Shopping.. Step outta HOUSE in the morning.. Catch up a movie… EAT and Shop all day long…. And return back late night.. SUPER FUN!!! J .

4. My outlook on life is Usually Positive.. Ofcourse I have my moments and am quite cynical… But I definitely have my hopes up and I keep faith in everything ( which is the most important thing).

5. If you want to annoy me, just ignore my calls or do not replay back…. Set my things out of place… Do not listening to what I say..…. Or start staring at me for no reason… !!! J .

6. I am completely defenseless when it comes to JUNK food basically.. KFC’s burger.. there s no way am stepping out of the restaurant without having one…!

7. When dressing for the day one should dress conventionally… Wear something fabulous and it may sound as a cliché but always wear something that makes u feel comfortable .

Living in the moment.. cutest COUsin !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well! I had been to my Uncles (mama’s) place last night for Dinner. It had been a long time since I had met him. And even longer since I had seen my 2 lil cousin sis..!!

The elder ones 11yrs and youngest is just 3yrs. Both are so so talkative and so adorable. They talk so cutely and non stop. With so much age different between us, we don’t meet up so often n don’t spend a lotta time together.. And so it was more like a year since we had seen each other....!! J

Lil one eating dinner all by herself.. haha… sweet!!!! She is vivacious, precocious, and a lotta other "cious" words! I love this little girl

• She was so keen on showing me all her gowns! One by One… all of it..!! J
• When she said – u don’t go today. You stay with us over here..!!!!!!!!!!!!! J
• When I was leaving and i said goodbyes to my other cuz and hugged her... and I just said “bye” to the lil one standing right next.. then she realized I dint hug her and the next thing u know she stretches her arms out to give me a BIG hug herself... that was so super super cute..!! Ahhh… she just melted my heart in there…!! J

I really really really wish they were my age n then we would have connected to the highest degree….!! J

Had such an ENORMOUS time with both of them. Girls, I love you so much!! I miss them already J

Evening Snack/Chaaaat blunder !!!!!

Me and Sarah (cuz) were looking for some evening snack. And I had some serious cravings for PANI PURI… !! J

We took a walk to our fav stop “Anands” however to our surprise it wasn’t on the place it used to be and was shifted somewhere nearby..!! J

Since it servers the best chaat, we figured we would search for it.. coz it was apparently relocated just down the road. We walked through the road but dint find it.

Just on our way I happen to see this beautiful TREE with such pretty pink blooming flowers falling from the branches.. Look how LOVELY this tree is.. and I loved the PINK flowers….!! J

Since we dint find our place, I dragged Sarah to some fancy looking restaurant on the way (thought of trying something new)

We ordered in a salad and an ice-cream..

We had this THAI NOODLE SALAD and HOT CHOCOLATE FUDGE…!! And both were such a BIG ERROR that I cant tell you..

The Thai salad was such a disaster. It wasn’t even NOODLES. It looked like a Vermicelli. Wowowow..!! Imagine a salad with vermicelli.. Tasted spicy n hot except it was tasteless…

and the ice-cream was Ok, but it came with just a small scope of ice-cream and there wasn’t enough chocolate syrup in it…!! And u know how these fancy restaurants charge us with.. Hahaha..

Oh! Why in the world would this happen only with us.. (I gotta tell u more about our many food disasters) It was sarah’s treat..!! Sorry dear for taking you there…!!! J

Never going to that Place again..!!! J

SO much for trying out new things..!!!!!!!!!!!! J

“The Only Place” Bangalore...........

“The Only Place”. It’s just the name of the restaurant I had been…!! J

I guess almost every Bangalorean must have been there already. It’s one place most OLDTimers will know of. We (myself and one of my long time friends) went there yesterday for Lunch.!!

The first thing that strikes u about the place is the ambience. Its apt to people who want to relax, and have a Cool and Happy meal.

First we had a few juices there. I had the Orange one!

Now about the Food!!! Starters! we had the “Chicken Nuggets” very tasty..

Main course! - we had Chicken Lasagne (me) and Fiery Chicken (my friend). Every servings came with and tiny pieces of Garlic Breads...!!!

Lasagne was like any other lasagne with a cheesy layer on the top!! Since I am a Lasagne Lover, I loved it..!! J It was really GREAT.!

FieryChicken had full of chunks of chicken with veggies n garlic n pepper sauces.! Was very spicy toOooo.!

The desserts!

Uhh!! I love them….

I wanted to have them all.. all the pie s and cheese cakes and puddings sounded great assortment!

And a very Delicious Cherry Pie was my choice..!! if I may say so J ( u know we thought of breaking the tradition by not ordering the Apple PIE)

It was yummy – warm and delicious with the vanilla ice-cream with the right amount of coolness !

But GOD! I have to tell u, I was soo FULL with all the heavy food that I couldn’t finish the whole thing up… I still feel sad for not finishing the PIE (coz it was really gud)

The restaurant is very popular with the local crowd and also the outsiders.

It’s an absolute delight for the Foodies.

Wohhhh..!! They have an extensive menu for steaks! Streaks were their speciality….!! Go there if u love streaks and when u don’t want to count the calories… Hahaha..!!

The décor is a bit out dated (since its pretty old) and the service is very slow. Also I have to add, the food is pretty expensive too.. But if its only the food u crave, The Only Place is pretty good.

Was my first time n I’ll keep going back for more.

1. The best deal I've ever gotten is a dress I got few months back, it was very beautiful n looked very expensive but I coincidentally it wasn’t pricey at all.. n I was so happy to buy it…!! J (I always think that it must have been a mix up with the price tag or smething..)

2. If I were hosting a dinner party and could invite people from my fantasy guest list it would include WOW..!! that would be a Dream for me… First off am gonna Invite “SRK”, Hrithik Roashan, Priyanka Chopra, Jennifer Aniston, Blake lively, Ian Somerhalder, Chase Crawford, Neil Patrick Harris - Basically all my FAV Movie/tv stars.. I would love all my close friends to JOIN me in the FUN!! Haha. J…

3. Something that inspires me is the Nature, BOOKS, other BLOGGERS, My MOM, My Aunts, My Sisters, etc .

4. If I could only choose to eat one flavor of food for the rest of eternity (sweet, salty, spicy, bitter....) I would have to go with Hard to choice for sure!! But I would go with salty!! Sweets have more CARBS! N I wanna stay FIT..!! Hehehe .

5. I dream about I seriously don’t remember any of my dreams! I gotta think too hard to remember them!!! .

6. My weekend will be spent No plans for SATURDAY as such… but SUNDAY… be ready for Sunday… Have plans to go out with a friend… just catch up ,have some fun girly time…. J .

7. If I could only watch one movie or TV show for the rest of my life, it would be without a doubt FRIENDS! FRIENDS! FRIENDS! anyday….. Need I write more…?. ? Haha… !! J

Like a kid in a CANDY Store!!!

Hey.!

I had been to a candy store a few days back.. I wanted one of those big circle swirl hypnotic colored lollipops. Seriously I have never had one of these before and was always fascinated by it..!! J

Each time I used to pass through the candy store and just used to look through the window shield, craving to have one… I never got it…YOU know u LOVE it and always wanted to try it out, so why don’t u go get it GIRL!!!!

So finally I did… and u know I was so joyful on picking this up..(just like a lil kid )

LOLLIPOPS! These are real Lollies, big, round and loaded with enough food-coloring to dye your entire mouth a rainbow.

You gotta love that!:-)

I have just started to enjoy this lil thing and am loving it..!! hehe…!!

Typed this thing with one hand on the keyboard and other hand on the POP stick while eating it..

1. My biggest accomplishment in life thus far is am not sure ..reelly reelly nothing actually...haven’t done anything great.!! I guess I could say that staying happy and being optimistic when life seems HARD is also an accomplishment.

2. My favorite place to sit in my house is on the living room couch, watching tv and eating my dinner or on my bed with my lappy…!!!! J

3. My fashion philosophy is I don’t follow any fashion sense as such.. But my fashion philosophy is that – if I like it, I wear it. I believe in being comfortable in whatever u wear and just follow ur instincts… and u’ll rock the world…!!! J J J .

4. Something every girl should have is (a) GREAT HAIR…!! Its something that makes her look Beautiful!!! (b) to put on a Cute Smile.. J

5. If you looked in my purse right now you'd find.... Wallet, tissues, 1 lip-gloss, face wipes, gum, glasses, Comb, hair clips … etc ( I have done this in other post too..) .

6. My favorite music right now is Taylor Swift - Today was a Fairytale….!!! J and everything by Taylor Swift…!!!!:-) .

7. My favorite part of my body is hmmmm….. nothing in particular.. but I always feel a lil sad for not having my mothers features.. specially her light brown eyes n her nose….. !!!! .

3 day at my Grams Place….

Well...

I went to my grandmother’s place this Tuesday because I hadn’t been there since a year. I was there on a vocation. I had a good 3days stay over there. My grandma is not there. There are many of my relatives who live there, but I sure miss my grandma a lot…!!

Its also my BIRTH PLACE. A place where I took my first BREATH.. Oh! That’s only partly true.... coz that would be my Mother’s womb.. right!

Correction – Place where I breath my first “breath” into this world.. J

Check out the Cool “WATER WELL” at my GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE..!! J

It was built by grandfather.. It in the back yard.. And it is OFFICIALLY 43yrs OLD..!! J

Chickamagalur is a very small place. Though I was born in this place and know this place since I can remember, I recently discovered that there are numerous iconic places and images located there... Its a hill station, beautiful places to see and goto.. One of which is a resort named “The SERAI Resort”.

I had been to this Resort. It was just so U-H-Ma-Zing that I cant tell you. It was like the Perfect place to hang around.

Peaceful Paradise

The Serai in every way was above and beyond pleasurable.

• The location – STUNNING!!!!
• Cottages to stay. Surrounded by plantation, each cottage was completely private.
• It had every amenity that a resort offers – The Spa, Foosball, Pool, Billiards, Shopping etc..
• No environmental confusion and nagging noise .. So Peaceful and Calm .. Just the place u should be to relax..!!! J
• The food was so delectable – I loved it… !! J

Then came the sad moment of leaving the place!! Surely and I really mean SURELY i will come back, may be with some more cousins and friends..!! Wat say guys.. ?...? Do u wanna come along … …. …. …. … ….

Ok. Now I have to stop. Seems like I am literally Promoting this RESORT.. Hahaha… !! J

4 random things i loved during this time?

• Visiting the Resort
• Meeting my Uncle’s CUTE lil daughter. She is the newest and the youngest of the cousins. She is 3months now..
• Having good food on all my 3days stay- the food reminded me of my grandma!!
• Getting special treatments from everyone out there..

It was a very shot stay for me. There are so many awesome places out there yet to be seen. So am very EXCITED on going back yet again next month. And I’ll take you guys with me through this blog..

I’m going back for more… Inshaallah.. So hold on tight Guys.. !! J
