my lil wall of art..

GOAL #98 - Make 10 DIY projects - in progress!!

I wanted to do a DIY ( Do it yourself) tutorial since a very long time! I had many things in my mind, but the easiest I found was the following.
1. my initial monogram
SDC10034
I have loved letters. Specially my initial “M”. J I always wanted to make my name initial.
How to make it : I located a plywood sheet which was lying around in the garage, and sketched my initial on it. Then I took it to a carpenter and got it cut in shape…
The next step is to scrap off the excess wood and clean the surface from the monogram. Used a sand paper to do it.( u can also ask the carpenter to do it)
Paint the wooden monogram with the “primer” first .. Let it sit for 24 hrs before painting the COLOR u want.. Paint with color of your choice… 2 coats are needed to get a fine finish… J
I wish I had taken some photos to show u guys.. but I dint.. sorry L
2. Wall hanging
SDC10041
I got this wall hanging from home centre store and I just changed the color of the background and gave a whole new look. The contrast of the dark background and light flowers stands out and looks better.
3. This is just a picture I painted a few months ago. This painting also went with my BLACK theme I had in mind. I just had to frame it.
But this is not my best paintings.. I wish I had done a much better job here..

All put together , look how it looks!
Like it much!!
