ROCKING EXPERIENCE...!!

Hey Salaam to all,

It was the perfect day to go crazy for all of us….We were all very excited coz this was our 1st CLASS TRIP. We were all together for about 2 years ( my 1st 2ys of engineering) but still none of us known each other. This trip made to find best of frenz…

So, on a Saturday morning we set off for Coorg. The plan was to leave by 5am to avoid the expected traffic but eventually left by 6.30am… 1st we visited the back waters of GORUR DAM. We had to go deep down walking thro’ the slippery stones… Next was our visit to THE TIBETAN MONESTRY and THE GOLDEN TEMPLEMy God..!!! It was fabulous, the big statues and the beautiful gothic paintings were a feast for our eyes…. And the view of the temple was ethnic. There were lotz of Buddhists monks in the temple and they seemed like a replica of each other.... :-) :-) Their rituals were very strange and different as they did it with keen interest. The residents of this area mainly consists of Tibetan refugees.

We were wonderstruck at the monastery and were left wondering whether this really is a place of refugees because the place was swamped with money displayed in the form of Golden statutes of Buddha and luxuriously designed domes and staying quarters…..

The Golden Temple is an unexpected attraction of Coorg, but one that’s definitely worth seeing. The monastery is home to hundreds of monks, with the Tibetan settlement apparently being the second largest in India. The area is full of culture. There’s a small shopping centre selling colourful Tibetan products as well.

From there, we made our way to Abbey Falls. The narrow road to Abbey Falls is a combination of steep ups and downs, twists and turns, surrounding coffee plantations. We had to walk 2kms down to go over there, through very muddy rocks to reach the falls…. But it was worth it… :-) :-)

Our next stop was RAJA’s SEAT, our last destination of visit. There was a very big botanical Garden with very beautiful Flowers… It was named from the fact that the Raja’s used to sit at that place and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The spot offers a breathtaking view of towering hills, green valleys, studded with paddy fields...!!

Our journey back started off, and with two coffee breaks in between, we finally reached home at 12am …. Thus ended our 1 day trip to Coorg. We had lotz of fun and took lotz n lotz of snaps…. This was not jus a trip to Coorg, but turned out to be a wonderful experience….

This Was Not The END

IN THE TRUE SENSE BEGINNING OF OUR WOUNDERFUL COLLEGE LIFE..

Strive to learn something new today....
